eine Woche

Au-Pair — posted_by dennat @ 12:51

Freu mich schon riesig drauf! Hier ein paar Tourdetails (wen es interessiert)

• Pinnacles
• Batavia Coast
• Pink Lakes
• Coastal Gorges

Departing Perth 7.00am. We head north to the Nambung National Park and stop to explore the famous limestone formations of the Pinnacle Desert. After lunch at one of the small fishing towns there is a chance for a swim in the Indian Ocean, or a gentle stroll along deserted beaches. We carry on our adventure through Geraldton and along the Batavia Coast, the site of many shipwrecks (ask your guide for the stories). In season (July – September) check out the prolific wildflowers, en route to the Pink Lakes and the Ocean Gorges (Pot Alley). But before this we are now off sandboarding*! Have some fun surfing over large natural sand dunes so hang on. We stop to watch the sunset and Humpback Whales frolicking in the Ocean(seasonal) and then we head for camp, which is a good time for spotting kangaroos. Tonight we stay in Kalbarri. It’s a traditional Aussie Barbie tonight so a stop at a bottle shop on the way is a must.

Overnight stay Hostel all facilities. (L,D)

• Natures Window
• Z-Bend
• Shell Beach
• Monkey Mia Resort

This morning we have a short drive to Kalbarri National Park where we begin the day with a bush walk to check out the magnificent views of the Murchison River - Z-bend where (time permitting) you can take a cool freshwater dip and then the famous Natures Window. We continue north to Shark Bay which takes us through station country, where we cross Meadow and Nerren Nerren sheep stations, and another opportunity for wildflowers in season. Then on to Shell Beach, probably the longest shell beach in the world. Now onto Denham (the most westerly town in Australia) for an important bottle shop stop before arriving at Monkey Mia Resort for the night. Other operators tend to stay in Denham but we would rather you experience a stay at the Monkey Mia Resort itself, situated right on the beach where you can relax around the Barbie or swimming pool/ hot tub. You may even see the dolphins hunting at night for fish along the shore line.

We will be on Monkey Mia beach for the arrival of the enchanting wild dolphins of Monkey Mia - you even have a chance to go sailing on a catamaran (optional extra) and look out for dugongs, turtles and sting rays
or just laze on the beach and relax. After lunch we start heading to Coral Bay. We make stops at one of the coastal cliffs and Hamelin Pool to see the oldest living things on the planet, the Stromatolites. Here our journey into the outback really becomes visible with 360 degrees of land, sea and sky. This is called Big Sky Country. After, a brief stop at the tropical town of Carnarvon.

Enjoy swimming, sunbaking, beachcombing or some optional activities like a glass bottomed boat cruise, snorkelling or quadbikes (optional). Late this afternoon, we make our way across the grasslands calling into Shothole Canyon en route to our overnight stay in Exmouth.

Head off to explore Yardie Creek Gorge and look for rock wallabies. Next stop you have a chance to swim/snorkel at Turquoise Bay.

2) Go diving on Ningaloo Reef (own expense). There are many dive packages to choose from - you may even swim with whale sharks (April-June). After our return to Exmouth, we gather at the pool to exchange addresses, share a beer or two and say our final good-byes to those who are not returning back to Perth. Dinner and accommodation is not included tonight unless you are returning on the 7 - Day tour.
