Koh Phan-gan

just another small island...

from Koh Samui I took the boat to the neighbour island, Koh Phan-gan. Its much smaller and the nightlife was better on Koh Samui. Its more laid back here. Of course I enjoy the conveniences of a beach bungalow amid palmtrees with the sea in the background.

A few days ago I signed in for a cooking course. In a few hours we cooked four dishes. The entree was Tom-yum soup, then we created two curries. one was phantong curry, a red beef curry and the other one was a green curry with chicken

red curry

and thats the tom-yum. It was yummie indeed:)

and my favourite was fried chicken with cashew nuts.

Looks good, doesnt it.

That was the other chap that did the cooking course with me. Charly from London- what a smile!!!!

Some impressions of the island...

This is Koh Ma, a small island next to Koh Phangan. There was great snorkelling in this bay. But the beaches in Thailand arent nice. Most of the public beaches are dirty-rubbish everywhere. Nothing compared to the beaches i have been to Australia.

Today David Beckham arrived on Koh Samui(where I was last week) and bought himself a nice villa for 200 000 000 Baht (about Eur 4Mio) on samui so apparently he likes thailand as well.

May I introduce Pam, she is a nice thaigirl and lives on Koh Phangan.

She showed me how to carve vegetables. The big flowermotive is made of a watermelon. Its really easy all you need is this special knife and a carrot.

Yesterday there was the legendary Full-moon-party on Koh Phan-gan. The biggest beach party in the world.

Once a month when the moon is at full glow all the tourists migrate to this massive party. In January there were 40 000 people, pretty big, hey??

It was so much fun last night

Cheers!!!
